NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC EXTENDS TERM
The New York Philharmonic has extended the term of Marie-Josée Kravis Composer-in-Residence Christopher Rouse, who will return for his third and final season with the Orchestra in 2014-15. By the conclusion of his tenure, Rouse will have written three new pieces for the Philharmonic, worked with the Orchestra in performances of ten of his works, and served as an advisor for six programs of CONTACT!, the new-music series.
